Au Contraire is a talk show with Laveau Contraire, featuring creators of all art forms discussing their creative process, the challenges they’ve faced, and how sharing their art has led to living a more joyful life. Here’s a recap of Episode 1.

I was joined by Alt-Pop musician sora (@soracalling) and we discussed his musical inspirations and the struggles of being a pop musician in New Orleans. I was also joined by Synamin Vixen, local burlesque performer and discussed what led her to burlesque, her herbal remedies, and how she uses her talents to help others. 

We had a great time in each interview, which was followed by a live performance from each guest. Here’s a little preview of what they brought to share with the audience:

We did this cute thing at the end of the show where we painted a canvas while the another performer improvised and then gave away that canvas at the end of the show. Here’s a picture of all 4 of us at the end of the night!
